The Avery Group chose Fusion’s care management software product Ecareplan as it implements further quality control systems to advance their outstanding work in the care sector.
Chosen as the sole suppliers of care plan software across the UK, Fusion won the contract after a successful pilot programme demonstrated the ease of integration and use for staff in recording and storing person centred care records for their residents.
Martin Jones, Managing Director of Fusion says: “We’re delighted to have been chosen as Avery’s care plan software provider. To be chosen as a sole supplier is a huge compliment to us but also demonstrates that Fusion can really take on the mantle with software we design and continually improve by listening to and working with our clients.
“Taking even more care of their residents, Avery have now successfully moved away from a paper system to and storing their care records online in the cloud which means the records that can be assessed in real-time to meet the individual needs of their residents.”
Julie Spencer Assistant Director of Care and Quality at the Avery Group says: ‘“At Avery we invest heavily in IT to support company systems and procedures. For us moving away from a paper care plan system to an online one was not only a priority but also a natural progression to complement how we as a company communicate, report and collect data.
“We specifically chose to work with Fusion, piloting their Ecareplan, because we felt their software had the most synergy with our approach. We had also previously experienced poor quality software services, which provided us with the knowledge required to make a more informed choice about what would work for us. I’m very pleased to say that after a successful pilot we are now very much looking forward to rolling out the Ecareplan service further across our business.”

I was interested in your article to see Fusion won the contract across the U K for its e careplan which demonstrated its simplicity for everyone to use and saved hours of time on adminstration We have the Cura system in operation it saves on storage of paper reports but for staff spending more social time with the residents the answer is no as the staff spent far too much time doing daily reports on the I pad i would estimate 3/4hrs a aday for 16 residents. Evaluating up dating care plans and assessments is extra hours. So there is less communication time with the residents.I am wondering if we are recording too much
Thank you for your comment on this article.
We do see within the care industry numerous examples of “over-recording” – always with the best intentions of course – but this can detract from the main objective of delivering person centred care.
The team here at Fusion believe one of the prime principles of person centred care is having the time to spend getting to know and connect with individual residents/service users – as such we try to develop our software to be incredibly easy to use in order to create this much needed time.
Should you wish, we would be more then happy to show you our software – perhaps critically our daily recording section as we have some truly fantastic features built in to minimise the time it takes to log efficient and accurate notes.
